Puerto Viejo


A couple times a week, some of the volunteers will hop on a bus and head to a town called Puerto Viejo. It’s nice to get away from the Sanctuary for a couple of hours and just hangout with the volunteers. The town is beautiful and right on the beach; it’s about an hour away. So far we’ve gone twice, and I know we’re going tonight again. Image

We usually hangout at a bar called the Lazy Mon (say it in a Jamaican accent) ; it’s right next to the beach and they have really good pina coladas… 🙂


The picture below is the view from the Lazy Mon. They beach is really pretty and there are lots of shells and coral to take.
